Re: Random Sprite Video on Particles?
Thanks fxdude for your post. You got me correctly indeed. I'd like each particle to run my video clip starting at a different frame of that clip. I've tried with R.T. parameters as shown in the image attached but I had no success. I've just made the particles start at a different frame of the clip b...

Random Sprite Video on Particles?
I have a cycle video clip with a particle borning, spinnig exploding, dissapearing and so. I would like to make a point cloud with this video assigned to the particles randomly in time. I mean all the particles display the esplosion each one at different moment. My settings are in Render Tree, Time ...

Re: Random start time of a video sprite in a point cloud
Have you look at the timesource on the clip? You could use the particle age, or any other ICE attribute to drive which frame from the animation is displayed. Claude Thanks Claude for your reply! But I still haven't solve it. I tried with Timesource on the clip and drived to particle age but only ge...

Re: snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
I meant Softimage supports snapping to intersections of components or objects when translating. If you activate snapping, you can translate one component or object towards other and when they intersect it will snap. I don't know why it doesn't happen when you rotate an edge, for example, and it reac...

Re: snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
Yes, both first and second problem would be easily solved with a intersection snapping while rotating tool. However, Softimage does support intersection snapping while translating. Am I wrong?

Re: snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
Sorry. I was looking for a solution to the first and second problem. A rotation snapping tool or plug-in, something like that.

Re: snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
Sorry, but I still couldn't make it. I'd like one object snap to other by rotating. I'm posting an image with a simpler example.

Re: snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
Yes, I've just seen Autocad tip "Rotate One Object to Match Another" and that woul be great. I cant believe there is no such tool in SI... Thank you!origin wrote:You probably mean 3 point rotation known from cad soft? I dont think there is such tool built in xsi.

snap rotation? not incremental snapping rotation
Hello, I'd like to snap the polygon of the image to the ground by rotating around its center axis -in this case at the botton of the polygon- but snapping options don't work. Snapping do work with translation but I need with rotation. Any help? Thanks
