I have been using Softimage for years now.
While I am still a neophyte, it's sad things turned out this way.
So much more to learn about SI and so much potential...

The new modeling tools in Maya 2014 comes from NEX (a popular plugin), they did the same years ago with polyboost in 3dsmax (they just renamed it as graphite modeling tools)... Just finished reading all 11 pages of comments and wanted to join the discussion. I started using Softimage since XSI 6 and thought it is was an amazing program for it's time. XSI 6 had an intuitive and powerful modeling system, a minimalist and ease to use interface, and many other useful features....

On the side note, I am interested in the Tech Artist Side and Rigging aspect of 3D art,
