Re: AD stops issuing activation codes older software

I have a node-locked license. I only have a serial and a product number. I wonder if there's a way to get a code number by activating the license offline? (by phone or something) At least something that I can keep using for reinstalling SI in the same machine.

Re: AD stops issuing activation codes older software

Autodesk back at it again!....Disappointing but not unexpected. So basically after 2021 if I want to reinstall my OS or buy another PC or update my motherboard or anything related to uninstalling SI I won't be able to activate it again. X( I think this is finally it for me.

Re: SItoA-5.2.0 Official

OK, the "AdClmHub_1.dll" hack works! Thanks rray ^:)^ . I made some mistakes in the process and Arnold was misbehaving, so I had to reset the User folder and reinstall, after that everything seems to work. CPU working, GPU working as well as Optix denoiser in both CPU and GPU render. I mus...

Re: SItoA-5.2.0 Official

Does this addon works by itself or do you need to install the arnold sdk as well? (like in rachids version 5.1 where you need to install the sdk) I try to render twice and both times I'm getting a warning and then softimage crashes. Installed SItoA 4.1 on a fresh softimage user folder (to avoid any ...

Great stuff!. I wonder if those houses are instances (models) or redshift proxys....as well the trees? did you experience any slowdowns in the viewport with all that many objects? Really nice texture on the closeup street shot.

Re: SItoA_Update_Core 5.0.2.2_& Cryptomatte

Amazing!. Great to hear that you are already working on it. No worries, I know is always difficult to find free time. Take as much time as you need, I feel glad that there's someone working on keeping arnold alive in softimage. Thanks!!

Re: SItoA_Update_Core 5.0.2.2_& Cryptomatte

Hi Rachid,
I was wondering if you have any plans on updating to 5.1. I'm mainly interested in that nice toon shader ( i know softimage has it's own toon shaders but still). Any thoughts?

Re: HDRI Light Studio for Softimage

Just to let people know that this plugin "crashes/fails" the Redshift installer on Softimage 2015 R2-SP2, preventing the redshift addon to be installed. The quick solution for this is to remove the addon temporarily, install redshift and then move the plugin back to the addon folder. This ...

Re: TAB menu like NUKE, how about SHIFT+A for Blender on Softimage?

You are probably talking about the Quicklauncher addon. Search for it in this website in Softimage resources. It's like the nuke tab menu. Also, they did add a tab menu in 2015 SP2 for the ice window and the material window, that let you search nodes, pretty convenient. Not sure what you are trying ...

Re: Redshift User Data nodes

From the Redshift forums: "Frankly speaking the userData nodes are not necessary in XSI since you can use the attributes that you can create in ICE (your video shows just that), the only thing you should use is the shading switch. I talked to the dev team about this and we suggest that you igno...

Re: Redshift User Data nodes

This is a video a made showing how to use ICE attributes to drive the Attribute nodes supported by Redshift, the Userdata nodes don't work for me, but I think these Attribute nodes do the same thing, so that works. Also I talk about a limitation when using a Redshift proxy in combination with the at...
