Might be a hack but check the torus object. The should be a Shared ICEtree on it. This tree should be on top of the stack.

If nothing works just delete the Init node and replug the tree. Sucks but if you need it working that's what you can try.

I can assure you that the development of the Softimage version didn't stop for a day since v1.0.
