Re: Hotkeys and UI and transition stuff (3d migration)
This guy has also an interesting tutorial for a realtime toon shader for Softimage on his website. I have to look into this when I find some time.

in case someone wants to change to the dark side I accidentially stumbled upon this: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.comtec.daikin.co.jp%2FDC%2FUsersNotes%2FRitaro%2Ftutorial%2Fmaya_01%2Findex.html&sandbox=1 A Maya keymap for Softimage users...

I would suggest get in touch with your reseller. Usually they negotiate something with Autodesk. I had a similar problem 3 years ago and this went astoundingly smoothly.

Re: PhysX Fluid Simulation in Softimage ICE
Yes exactly. But good that you are asking. In my first test I have forgotten to hit the checkbox "Use GPU". It works besides some unreproducable "Failed to copy" errors. The most issues I had so far with Redshift appeared when another app also used the gpu in the background. I su...

Re: PhysX Fluid Simulation in Softimage ICE
Hello mr Core, I think this may be related: I haven't been abe to get the PhysX compounds to work on the GPU ("CUDA support failed!") since I started on the Redshift alpha (in march). Redshift uses CUDA so I also updated all drivers and CUDA-related stuff and maybe some other stuff as wel...

Re: PhysX Fluid Simulation in Softimage ICE
First of all many thanks for this compound. It's a huge timesaver and great fun to work with. I have several SPH simulations in one scene and get the following error when more then one sim is active: # ERROR : [PX][INTERNAL]:Foundation object exists already. Only one instance per process can be crea...

Attribute Display unreliable in 2013?
Did anyone encounter problems with debugging ICE trees? Showing values in the viewport sometimes works sometimes not, most often not. When I reopen Softimage and load the scene the values are shown in the viewport but when I move the time slider or the camera they disappear and don't reappear again....

Re: bring back softimage.net
I am wondering why nobody mentions the legacy netview. I found it a really neat way for organizing and accessing third party addons, shader, scripts etc. and I have never really understood why it has been abandoned after the aquisition through AD. The organization of the legacy netview and the integ...
