Hey Bullit,
I have attached a compound which manages cloud instances as native particles of a cloud. It does take a moment to run, but it will be much faster to navigate or render.
I hope this helps.

Re: LK Fill ParticleVolumes question to Leonard
Hey Bullit, sorry for seeing this almost a week after your post. Unfortunately there is no super easy way that would be even within 2 orders of magnitude in terms of speed to do that, as far as I know. The only thing I can think of is to build something which arranges the positions of the particles ...
Re: Unity 5
The training 3DBuzz has for Unity is excellent. I think I'd go for that first.

Re: LK Fabric from Leonard Koch
Yeah, a linux compile for CentOS is now available in the downloads section of my site. Here: http://leonardkoch.com/download/ Thanks for this goes to Ruben Vandebroek and Jeffrey Dates from The Mill. If you want to compile LKF for another linux distro please let me know, so I can make the source ava...

Re: LK Fabric from Leonard Koch
Glad you are liking the plugin. What you are trying to do is trivial in theory. You just need to get the "LKF Get Strandcolor from TextureMap" compound, connect the geometry with the texture map on it and connect that to the strand color port. I assume you are already doing that. The reaso...

Re: Announcing Redshift - Biased GPU Renderer
And now there is an officially announced card with a custom PCB for higher power delivery.
The MSI R9 290X Lightning. It is entirely unlocked for power delivery and has 2 8pin power connectors plus one 6pin power connecter.
That should be plenty to max out the card given enough cooling.

Re: Announcing Redshift - Biased GPU Renderer
Looking forward to the day they support OpenCL as I'm currently looking to buy an AMD R9 290x card (waiting for the non-reference cards with better cooling). Actually 290x doesn't really cap out due to the cooling very much unless you have a custom PCB. They are built in a way which allows for high...

Re: LK Fabric from Leonard Koch
Thanks Andy for explanations and the tip about strand scale, also Leonard for added input. Added: it only works with Nurbs isn't it? - Nevermind of course with UV's... Added2: since i am a :ymdevil: person i was trying to break it, so i put a 90º step and passed the trap with flying colors. Hah! ;)...

Re: LK Fabric from Leonard Koch
Hey guys I'm glad that you are experimenting with LK Fabric. I'm sorry to hear that some of you are having difficulties getting started. It is quite the complex tool and I really would have liked to have at least one tutorial out with the release. Unfortunately I barely had time to properly get out ...

Thanks for posting it here Bullit. Glad you guys dig it. Hey Leonard, Very nice tool, thanks for bringing it to the community! Best, Eric PS: you still owe me a video tutorial for emPolygonizer, don't know if you remember. Hah, I do remember. I'm out of the country for a month now, but I'll make one...

Oh wow I didn't expect this extreme reaction. I didn't mean to attack you and didn't feel like my language was that strong. I'm sorry for not showing proper appreciation. The videos aren't bad, I just wish that they were better. I was trying to be constructive and really didn't mean to upset you. Ob...

Re: SOFTIMAGE|UeberTage 2013 Videos
Great presentations as always. I really dug the Polynoid presentation this time around! Given how much media prowess is in the room it is kinda sad that the recording isn't up to the standards of the talks. A couple lavaliers, a camera on the presenter and the use of a simple screen-capture software...

Re: tubing using curves
If you have a ton of curves this would probably be very easily solved with LK Lightning. Emit a point from the base of the curves. Emit LKLStrands from that point. Put in a curve controller with a strong tangent strength. Mesh the LKLStrands and freeze. Or don't. It would update dynamically. But LKL...
