Re: Motion Trail on viewport -Version Up

Hey Taro, this plugin is insanely awesome, thanks for doing it! There is one feature which would be really cool to add eventually: Right now the tool works pretty well showing the path of constrained objects, and even objects constrained with keyframes on the constraint as well, along with its blend...

Re: Skeleton Hierarchies?

There's no real benefit to where it is. Place it wherever you need to in the hierarchy :)

Re: Roman - free character rig -

Hey, this is a great rig. Thanks again for sharing. Are there any controls for the fingers? They're just chains in FK so rotate them, or hack the rig and build your own controllers how you like them :) (if you don't see them you need to be in x-ray mode so the lines display through the mesh, or cha...

Re: Roman - free character rig -

Great looking Character Rig, tuna. Thanks for sharing it. Which version of Softimage does this work with? It says 900 when I try to import it into the modtool. EDIT: Looks like 2011. Is there a version available for 2010? Sure thing, I forgot about that. I'll make it 2010 when I get home tonight. [...

Re: Celebrating 10 years of XSI - Launch Event

It also still runs as xsi.exe ;)

I don't think they'll ever be able to get rid of all references to the XSI name after a decade.

Re: Why to work in Linear?

The point in linear colourspace is that mathematically it is being computed linearly. Things add together correctly, instead of being added together where darks are too dark and lights are too blown out. The reason some of your stuff looks too washed out is because you're probably using old settings...

Re: Softimage, I like it but...

Once you get used to XSI shortcuts you will really like modeling in XSI. It's missing a good mirror feature, but otherwise for poly modeling I've found it awesome. About training: Softimage has always had a massive lack of training. There's simply not much money in it, and few experienced Softimage ...

Roman - free character rig -

Hey guys I've sort of always been annoyed and ashamed of the Softimage community's lack of character rigs for people. For a software based on its "strong animation" it's pretty contradictory. I released this on my site but since my mum and dad don't use Softimage I should at least make a p...

Cool tip. It's so obvious once you know of it. AKA why didn't my dumbass brain think of this a year ago?

Re: maximize --

Yeah I've been using those buttons a lot recently, very welcomed addition :)

I still wish they'd bring back the old behavior of double clicking the floating window top bars. Where it'd minimise to wherever you moved the minimised bar, and would maximise to where you left it maximised.
