Re: Carlyle Group plans to sell The Foundry

Why? I guess the "why" is why would this mean a stop to the previously reported work of Dr. Pettersson for the Foundry... It's just normal 'stop' future development type of thing that occurs when a company decides they need to sell. You don't spend money on R&D when you are unloading ...

Re: "Flash sale" Modo & Mari

I purchased both Substance Painter and Bitmap2Material thru Steam and Allegorithmic gave me permanent licenses to install if I wish. Once you install anything thru Steam you never need to be on the internet again to use your installs. I was very hesitant about Steam myself... Steam is as close to 'N...

No need waiting for future.
I think that Houdini is best used in place of one of it's true competitors.. Real Flow, Krakatoa or any other particle engine.

Re: Houdini14 Sneak Peek

TD's have no artistic talent whatsoever. They can't even draw (except the ones that do have artistic talent) and artists do not think technically at all, They can't even do basic arithmetic (I'm not including the ones that can think technically) Elvis never did die... he turned into a TD [media]htt...

Re: Houdini14 Sneak Peek

Since when did artists and TD's become completely separate things?[...] They're obviously not necessarily two separate things. There's a spectrum and one can reside at one extremity or another but there's a lot more in between therefore it is there most people are standing on. Are you sure about th...

Re: Houdini14 Sneak Peek

Since when did artists and TD's become completely separate things? That really is sad. Since when did it become hard to understand that the more stuff there is between you and your vision the harder it is to get out. How many "knobs" do I need to twist to move 1 thing.. group of things? I...

Re: Houdini14 Sneak Peek

I watched the video a little closer.. it says "Animation Layers" but what is shown is not a Graphic Clip type thing that an actual artist would use...

Same Old TD heartless nonsense as far as I can see.

Modeling is so easy to achieve in other places and are so interchangeable into any package that it's just about the lowest possible thing on my list.
