Just an update on this subject. Apparently a guy was able to sell his license of 3ds Max in Europe. http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=6&t=1445035&page=1&pp=15 So maybe there is hope. But it would required someone willing to sell their Softimage license, which I believe will be...

Now they are looking for funding to turn it into a feature film. I hope they pull it off ... Blender would improve massive after a feature film production. :)

Yeah, true to that.

It's a shame that the market is still heavily Autodesk depended. Hopefully that will change in the future. Blender is starting to pose as an alternative more and more.

Yeah, but at the least he tried and he was able to bring someone from Autodesk to talk. I like Greg, looks like a good guy.

At least it's more obvious what to expect from Autodesk now.
