Okay, yeah, I understood your point. Fair enough. :) It's not that I won't mess with 3ds Max anymore, I just feel that this knowledge might help. By the way, ahve you seen the new PhoenixFD 3.0 for Max? Free update for those who had v2.0. Amazing stuff, the viewport preview is way better than FumeFX...

Than I tried Houdini which is great, but I don't like Houdini. :) I mean, I do, but I guess Houdini is for other types of users. Allan has shared a brand new crash course on live action VFX with 3ds Max, plugins, etc. In a world of Houdini FX, it's nice to see some Max free great courses.

The feeling I got from the video is that SideFX decided to embark on this to actually improve it's character tools with a studio that makes lots of cool work.

I'm hopeful this will bring tons of good improvements to Houdini animation.

I'm still hopeful someday Softimage will appear at the Autodesk Exchange to download and use for fun!
