Re: Softimage Camera -> FBX -> UE4 not working well
That would be great! :) I was also trying into level sequencer - and it looks already better. But still have some problems with the position. I made a test with a simple cube with no animation. When I import the cube into UE4 and put position at 0,0,0, is perfectly on the right positon. But as soon ...

Re: Softimage Camera -> FBX -> UE4 not working well
hey Draise, thx for replying
One question - where do you import the sphere? Into level sequencer or Maintee?
But that sounds like a perfect solution!

Re: Softimage Camera -> FBX -> UE4 not working well
hey rray, thx :) what do you mean with "Normalize" the rotation? Have not tried that yet. I tried alembic and I think, cameras are not working, only geometry. At least the "normal" way I tried imports nothing. When I import the camera after tracking, I have the same problem and a...

Re: Softimage Camera -> FBX -> UE4 not working well
The orientation is right now.
But still stuck on the translation.
The camera will be positioned completly wrong.
Attached an image to show what I mean.

Softimage Camera -> FBX -> UE4 not working well
Hey everyone, just playing around with Houdini and UE4, of course some parts like camera are still done in Softimage. Workflow atm is: Cameratracking a greenscreen shot -> exporting the camera as FBX -> importing to Softimage do to some refinements -> exporting again -> importing the camera into UE4...

Re: Roman Roads Previz
hey juanloredo, thx. :) The trees are 5 different high res trees without opacity or something, just pure geometry. I only scattered them as instances, but did not createy RSProxies from them. The first time the scene loads, its gonna take about 3-4 minutes, but after that it loads after a few second...

Roman Roads Previz
Hey everyone :) I am just working on a previz for a project. Its all done in Softimage, rendered in Redshift. Some of the models are freebes, so credits go to the turbosquid authors, textures are mostly from textures dot com. Rendertime with Dof and Volume on 2x 1080Ti and 1x 1080 about 2-4 minutes ...

Re: Retiming Alembic = crash
ah okay, I found out its the "generate strand trails" compound that makes problems.
I removed that compound and it works like a charme.

Retiming Alembic = crash
Hello :) I have a question about retiming almbic. I exported a pointcloud with strands as alembic and than imported the file. Now I thought, I could put a "Multiply by Scalar" behind the "current frame" and make it slower or faster. As soon as I press play button, it crashes. Is ...

Simple flying, landing from geo to geo
Hey there :) I just freak out, since I actually wanna do something super easy but feels like super complicated. I want particles start on a geometry, fly to another geometry, start there again and fly to the final geometry. Should be a perfect job for emFlock. Problem is, that with emFlock the parti...

Re: What are you working on?
Here is a closer render of the clouds, I think thats closest distance without getting ugly:
@Rob: Yea, I was suprised becouse I was focused to use VDB instead of SSS.
I used olegs VDB tool once. I like the result - but way more time to set up everything:
