Re: Trouble with Camera Viewport
How do I change the aspect ratio? That is one complicated property page.... Are you condascending to someone who simply asked a genuine question? Please refrain from such behavior. You know. maybe I should stick to the beginner's section on xsi base, where beginners are tolerated. It was an honest ...

Re: Trouble with Camera Viewport
Yep. At the upper side of your viewport is a little symbol that looks like a camera. Under that go to "Properties" and then change the aspect ratio to something that more resembles that of your screen. Alternatively and in my opinion the better option, you could just switch over to the Use...

Re: Stopping Particles
Assuming that you have no other nodes in the tree that update the orientationvalue, it sounds to me like the Leaf Falling Motion-Compound is the bad guy here. And since you don't need the leaf falling motion anymore once the particles hit the ground there is an easy fix for your problem. Just filter...

The organic part of the hand:
It still misses the hairs and I'll probably keep working on the shader, but for now I'm gonna wait for how it works with the look of the rest of my image.

Re: Rolex WIP
Cool stuff. I especially like the shader of the ring around the timedisplay. The material of the bracelet however still could use some work in my opinion.
btw. renamed your topic hope you don't mind, try avoiding topics like "my WIP" or "my awesome new shader" ;)

Re: Soft transitions between states
It is not possible to create a smooth transition between states themselves, however it is possible to smoothly blend in the move towards goal-mechanic. In the example below we take the goal position and subtract it from our pointpositions so that we have a vector that points directly towards our goa...

Mechman Build-up Animation
So as far as I can see I have the fortune of posting the first wip-Thread here =) Here we go: The final product will be an animation that starts out with a spinal cord and a head attached to it. From there (the collar) the strands will grow towards the hands and the waist starting a sorta mechanical...
