slowing down to a stop??

Post by thorsnuts » 21 Jun 2013, 23:51

Hello,

Is there a way to slow a simulation down to a stop? I have this hose with water flowing through it and it gets clogged up and the water needs to come to a halt at a particular time.

A sudden stop doesn't look nice at all! Is there a way to ease into the stoppage over time?

I set the Initial State, so the water is in the tube when the scene starts. I tried animating the speed from 4 to 0, but that doesn't effect the particles already in the tube, just the newly created ones.

I also tried time warping a cached clip, but that freaks the particles out BADLY!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

thanks for your time,
-TN

hahhaaa your right... wasn't thinking. :D

I used the Set Particle Speed node, and animated a few values over time.

thanks anyway,
