Ever had you computer go to sleep in the middle of a render?

I'd say that rendering definitely qualifies as "CPU activity".

CPU activity doesn't keep the PC awake since Windows 7. You need to install Insomnia and start it right after you start your render.

You can always go to the power options and tell to never let the hard disk sleep or turn off. I do this everytime I format (the first thing I do).

What's odd to me is that I've been using Windows 7 since the day it was released, and this has never happened before. The computer never goes into it's sleep mode(I have it set for 2 hours), whether it's serving files as a render master, or actually doing a render itself. Maybe this was just an anomaly.

Even weirder is a few nights ago, it stayed on all night when it was doing nothing, but last night it went to sleep while the CPU was crunching. I might just mark this down as "weird computer shit". I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore.

Yes it's true. Sometimes I forget to launch Insomnia and still the computer doesn't sleep sometimes, so I don't know what's happening really

I have one computer that won't go to sleep no matter what's set in the options. I have to do it manually.
