Thanks. Do you really think updating everything will solve this?
I'll post my (speccy) results ASAP, but first I have to sort out
some completely unrelated personal matters,
which will take up most of my time, sadly,
so I must postpone my ongoing struggle with Softimage slightly...

Hi,

Well... Speccy will give you an extensive list of all hardware in the pc. With that information we can go 'driver hunting'. ;-)
There are lots of people running Win10 and Softimage, so you're not alone. Why one has no issues and the other has, is always hard to debug.

But Win10 is very driver sensitive, so updating to the latest ones is always the first to try. All your hardware is pretty standard, so unless it's hardware related it hopefully can be fixed with updates.

Take care, and when you have time again, we'll pick this up again. :ymhug:

I installed the utilities ASUS had on offer on its installation DVD and ran the “AI Suite 3” with its component EZUpdate, which told me I only needed to update the BIOS, which I did. I also ran its “5-Way Optimization”. Now I think I am running out of options fast, while the other problem that arose recently, has thoroughly killed most of my enthusiasm for Softimage at the moment…

Had problems too but I'm using old Mod Tool 7.5, found out that I pretty much needed a very old driver to make it work, check some of the steps I did here and try to install the driver manually using the device manager as seen in the video in this thread.

Couldn't hurt to try.
