Fake Menu Plugin

Hey everyone,

I found this plugin which kinda mimics maya's hotbox. Looks great!.. the only thing is I can't figure out how to install it cause everything is in japanese.. anyone care to translate or know how to install it?

YAY! It does work with SI 2011+! You just need to open the FakeMenuEditor.htm in the netview. You can find it here :

C:\Users\[your username]\Autodesk\Softimage_2011_Subscription_Advantage_Pack\Addons\FakeMenu_v1_1\Application\Plugins

then just map the plugin to a key!

I'll posts some grabs later.. but it's in english.. the default titles are in japanese.. but it's easy to replace!

Sorry, noob here. How do I use this? The readme shows paths for several files but all I got was FakeMenu_v1_1.xsiaddon?

ok I tried fakemenu and it works well with 2011 SP1 just need to assign a key to it.

it's a shame there is not any documentation about pre-installed functions.

Okay I found out how to use addons and got it working. I noticed you can double-click the center area and get the editor. Very cool!

Thanks for this I just switched to XSI from Maya. Awesome timing!

Yeah works great if you're coming from Maya
Plus.. it's a little easier to access some commands that you use a lot
