Softmonkey plugins

Post by Hirazi Blue » 26 Feb 2011, 11:27

Mike Malinowski (softmonkey.org) presents some new tools (5 at the time of writing) on his website:

XSIGradient
This allows the user to set a gradient background within the Softimage Viewport.
XSIRuleOfThirds
This plug-in allows the user to see a 'tic-tac-toe' grid over their camera.
XSIEnvelope
This is a suite of tools aimed at making the enveloping process a bit easier.
XSISelectionSets
A quick and convienent way to store and access selections.
PoseBalls
The benefit of this plugin is that it allows you to create persitant pivots for scenarios where you will want to rotate an object around a static pivot in relation to itself.
Downloads for x32 & x64 and a slightly longer description can be found here

Not sure, but looking at the xsiaddon-xml, this addon should incorporate both dlls...

Missing Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable maybe? It was a prerequisite of all the softmonkey plugs, IIRC.

Nope. First thing I checked.
And I've installed all those puppies over here. ;-)

Edit: never mind, got it working. As usual a couple of reboots of SI did the trick.

Try the "local backup" (it's a separate link with each entry) at rray.de
Typing "softmonkey" in the search field brings them all up... ;)
