Will it be free ?

GUy, you really are doing a good job (and i love ur UI)
thanks, yes its free
btw I took idea of image in UI from E.T animstore. It might look cheap at first sight but in the end it really helps locating & identfying PPG faster
I think you're selling yourself short. Tools like these are very handy and it looks like it's fleshed out really well.
Tools like these are simpler to use than particles for the quick and dirty placement of a bunch of objects.
And in combination with your Soft Transform tool it's a great combo.
The main reason why ICE particles are better for this kind of job is because Softimage ain't very good at displaying thousands of objects.
For example simple primitive test shows that 3dsmax can display 20x more objects (like 20000 vs 1000) before its start to choke.
So the best thing would be a particle brush tool.

I agree on that ICE is better for tons of objects, but for the quick and dirty placement, this is great.

p.s. I send you a PM ;-)

Its refreshing to see some work in modeling department and you seem to be on a roll!

So yeah, dont sell yourself short. Gonna go into an extreme off-topic here but i've just seen this video by hchs whose crowds system seems to be better optimized than the one softimage itself offers as a 'pro' feature. So whats more useful than?

Once a year???

For anyone doing characters or hard surfaces this is a real time saver. Precise placement of bolts, rivets and buttons without having to use snapping. Thank you sir! ^:)^

This is what Soft needed for a long time - it looks like the interactive tool SDK was a huge move.
Great stuff!

Gotta chime in to. This would mean one less thing that I need Modo for. It has a mesh paint that I use all the time to put rivets (mostly) on the skin of planes that I've built. I normally put all of them on a separate layer that can be toggled on and off depending on the shot. Its been a life saver for lining them up on a complex curved surface.

I don't have time to beta for you but would certainly love a crack at it later.
