On the mailing list (in this post) Vladimir Jankijevic once presented one. Haven't had any use for it myself, so I haven't tested it myself.

THanks for that link.

I have run the .py from the script editor and came up with this error.

Is this because I have 64 bit system?

Sorry, I'm kind of lost with sort of thing.

Thanks,
Ryan

It is a self-installing plugin, you shouldn't try to run it in the script editor. You drop the py-file in your "Application\Plugins" folder and restart Softimage. If everything works there should be a new menu entry in your Export menu.

The only thing I can think of ATM is that there might be something wrong with your Python setup/settings/install. Visit "File > Preferences > Scripting" and check "Use Python Installed with Softimage (Windows Only)".

I have the "Use Python Installed with Softimage (Windows Only)" checked.

Do I have the right directory?

Well technically you don't have the right directory, as user plugins customarily get dropped into the Application/Plugins folder of the User directory. But I checked and at my end they boh show up in the menu, installed in either in the User directory or in the installation directory. So that can't be it. Let me think about this for a while (although others are obviously encouraged to chime in also).

No idea why this worked, but I re-installed softimage and put the plugin back in the user directory and it works now...
