Wow !!
I think this deserves it's own thread.
Apart obvious benefits of such a deformer as just another operator in the stack
(also related to general Ice / Construction stack awesomeness)
I love the weight painting, (3:30) and how he makes it become a SuMo or a gremlin with a slider (4:00)
Also showing SI | SubD's at their best.

Splitting it up was a good idea, it deserves the added attention.
Would writing a conversion algorithm back to bones be very difficult? (like done
here)
