turbulize mesh - via weight maps ?

Post by thorsnuts » 27 Oct 2017, 15:53

Hello,

I'm trying to achieve a look using turbulize mesh, but I'd like to break it up using weight maps - So certain areas are effected and others not.

Is this possible?

thank you

you can use a scalar to 3d vector to convert your weightmap to the variance

Hello,

Thank you for the time. So I ran into a problem where the Value of the Get Weight map node is Black and doesn't plug into the Scalar node

Another question would be how to control the Variance number once it's pluged in?

you'll have to double click the blue weightmap node, then select the "weights" parameter with the explorer.

If you want to modify the strength, you can put a multiply node between "scalar to 3d vector" and "turbulize mesh", and edit the multiplication vector
