I only found a honeycomb pattern generator. A Hexagon pattern generator. And a 3d BrickWall generator.

I wouldn't completely start from scratch, but model everything manually and have ICE help me randomize UVs and positions of the individual boards. I can dig out some island compounds for that if you need them.

For the same level of comfort as that plugin, the complexity will increase a lot without probably much gain other than ease of use.

For a full ICE solution:
*create 1 starting plank (or 2 planks depending on the pattern) and bevels procedurally with Create Topo
*after that "Clone Topo" can be useful, then move the cloned parts in place (they can be identified by Vertex Index if you store the original point count)
*UVs no idea yet

there's the "Bleachers" compound in XSI that you can look into

could start with points like this for the bevel and that times 4, then move the vectors to get the point positions for the first board.

Yes, that's possible with "CreateTopo " - it gets these points and a list of indices which tells it how to build polygons out of the points.

I'll try to push on with this once in a while, not sure how far I'll get 8-x

Great looking forward to it :-!

Some things needed to be jumbled around so the bevel goes into the right direction and can be controlled with width, height and board height. Mostly of trial and error here....

Welcome back Pedro &thanks! Nice link, webgl is so fast.

Not much time today, just added bottom point for the box and compoundified it so it doesn't get messy later
