Double Helix DNA
A fast compound which procedurally generates a DNA helix molecule from a set of parameters.
Softimage 2012 and Constantine's Procedural Topo Pack is required.

Double Helix DNA
Just because I'm not found any.
It's fast.
SI 2012 is required.
"Clone and Get Topo" is now included to Procedural Topo Pack.

Thanks iamVFX,
I'll give it a try ...

Re: Double Helix DNA
65 downloads, what the? Is it people's curiosity? I mean it's just a DNA, nothing more.

Re: Double Helix DNA
Can someone from developers tell me the difference between merged array of the same topology and Clone Topo compound? I don't see any.

To everyone else: sorry, guys, I used the Clone Topo node in the first version of Clone and Get Topo compound, now it actually works for SI 2012 as well. Procedural Topo Pack is updated.

For now I can appease your appetite only by a quickly rendered imageSamHowell wrote:I agree, extremely cool. Can't wait to see.
Right now I'm focused more on the new update for Procedural Topo Pack, since it has more possibilities than just greeble effect...
Re: Double Helix DNA
Hey, thats great already. So your making a Greeble compound that does extra? Nice.
Re: Double Helix DNA
Hello iamVFX. I downloaded your DNA compound because I need to do a DNA helix and I found this.
The thing is that I am only getting a single side of the Helix and only one conector. I dug into your compound and found three "Clone and Get Topo" nodes disconnected and red. I tried to plug them to the "Execute" node inside the compound but nothing is happening. Although I have use ICE before for particles, I am really new to the ICE topology nodes.
Can you please help on this to get your node working.
Here are some images.
Thanks in advanced.

To create something that does not exist, to exist.
Re: Double Helix DNA
@cacoman: have the same problem here. did you solve that?
maybe the topo pack does not get recognized?
