not sure, but i can try it in comp once i have final clean image rendered :)

How did you shape the landscape? By moving points/edges/polys by hand?
Push on a plane and shrink the finished surface around a sphere?

Looks wired but cool.
i started with icosahedron (sphere made of triangles) and extruded some polygons inside to make the path. then made some manual adjustments with tweak tool and then subdivided everything once or twice and applied simple randomize point position in ICE, but only to area defined by a weightmap. that was it :)

Beautiful work. Your could do a child's book with this as illustrations or a short story. Amazing as always.

a friend of mine (studying screenwriting) will actually try to write some story for little children and then i will make some illustration in this style... but who knows when it will happen :)

i put these images together as they are kind of telling a story. but it's nothing special... :)

it seems everyone is busy thinking about future, migrating to other softwares etc. well, I love Softimage for many many reasons and will keep using it for my personal projects as long as it works (and i stopped paying subscription after 2014, so I can't imagine spending 4000 euros again anyway), at work, well, we have 10 more months on TV show with Softimage and Arnold, so no problem there yet...
but i have high hopes for Fabric Engine, its smart developers and some smart TDs around, who will somehow transfer Softimage greatness into future tools...

right now, it's Sunday afternoon, I'm listening to music, drinking wine and working with Softimage. awesome :)

so, here is another thing I'm working on right now :)

another WIP...
i have a bad habit of starting lighting before i finish modeling... :)
this one is based on a sketch i did several years ago... and i had most of the scene modeled for a while, but i've decided to adjust it to the style of recent images.... well, still a lot of work to do :)
