Metaballs man

Post by mcrxsi » 14 Jul 2009, 00:06

Hi,
I`m just playing with metaballs inside the xsi character man. Inspired on Tim Borgmann`s work. Not finished yet.

Comments are welcome!!
Thanks

I like it!!! :-bd
Could add some description how you did it?
Did you use the metaballs-setup found at motionblur.it
or is this already done with the new metaballs operator by "our very own" :- "Mootzoid"?
Or is there even some other method involved? :-\ ;)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

Nice work,
that looks like the Metaballs from motionblur.it, mine cannot do those cool filaments between the drops yet.

Hi,
Metaballs are from motionblur.it (thanks to Michele Sandroni for that excellent tool).
I use the character included in softimage (XSI Man). Then i pose it in the way i like it.
I use a grid for emit particles and applied the metaballs in grid and paint option.
For the metabbals inside the man, invert the polygon´s normals of the character and use it as particles obstacles with actual shape collision.
And a vein node appy to the texture of the man.

Thanks for comments!
