I am working on a shader which can create rim light around and object without light in a way to optimize the render and the process for the post production.
It can be very useful to create rimlight pass.
Actually you can create different rim : left, right, top, bottom, back, front and setting different thing like rotation, spread, smooth, fg contribution ...
You can also apply SSS and get different RGB pass like Light RGB and SSS RGB.
The shader work with the vector of the mesh, follow the camera movement and support displacement.
