Squash Stretch Volume Preservation with ICE (Fstretch like)

Post by jujut » 09 Dec 2012, 21:53

Hello,

Below a wip of squash stretch and volume preservation like the fstretch plugin for Maya.

Exemple of use during the video :
- deform a mesh
- drive tension and compression point position to rendering (via weightmap)
- deform mesh with volume preservation
- deform by blendshape or custom pointposition
...
For this video, i've use malcom rig from animschool.com

Any critics & comments are welcome

very cool!

Great for quickly roughing out shapes as well :-)

Only critic is the blurriness of the video, it's hard to read PPG's and such.

Great! There's a previous fstretch compound (link) that was very cool but its development stopped short of it becoming truly useful. Yours looks more fleshed out already, I hope to see it released!

Thanks for the comment.

Rok: you can download a better quality of the video 1280x720 directly on the website of vimeo, i don't know why the website don't display the HD version of the video directly

I will release the compound soon , but before i need to make some test and modification on it.

Bye
