Rolex WIP

Post by xsiuser » 15 Jun 2009, 13:35

Hi.
Here one of my "WIP" works. Reference was an image on Rolex.com.
Modeling/Texturing Time: ca. 8h. When i have more time, i will finish it (modeling the clockwork etc.),

The last image is 3D too. I have animated only one part of the clock with a bend operator. Particles are 3D. Little bit glow in AE.

Cool stuff. I especially like the shader of the ring around the timedisplay. The material of the bracelet however still could use some work in my opinion.

btw. renamed your topic hope you don't mind, try avoiding topics like "my WIP" or "my awesome new shader" ;)

sorry cant write anything good on this.
shader look very plastic (and not even believable plastic), doesnt feel like metal at all.
just take a look at the picture:

metal is getting its looks by fresnel reflections and brushed speculars.

the wristband is too thin
