"Mrs. Willendorf", I presume? Nice...
BTW wouldn't your "random people" benefit from the inclusion of one or more non Caucasians? ;)

That's the girl! Good celebrity spotting skills

Final version - been planning to put her up for sale on TurboSquid as well

edit: [done.]
Good idea also, I'll try to convert
D.L. (at the bottom) to low-res

Have been working on something else instead again
"Hank"
Planning on selling him rigged with some different clothes styles.

Very impressive...
It might however be an idea to rename this thread to something
like "rray's WIP thread" to better reflect its current (changing) content. ;)
edit: removing the "(lowpoly)" probably would help already...

Thanks for the comments and the exhibiting!
I agree Hirazi, wanted to rename it earlier but though I'd leave it in order to stay focused. As if I ever could

Whats he got in his mouth, hank I mean, if its a cigarette I think its a tad too small. with the spirals though it looks a bit like a birthday candle.... but that doesn't seem likely.

Actually it's a weird habit of his. It's a candy cane, he always bites off the handle part first and then chews on both that and the stick.

Thats cool,

with character.

Any truly memorable character benefits from some sort of "story" at the time of his or her design, I would say...
;)

I believe its also beneficial when designing the character.

Definately both, a good idea of who you're working is important to make a more consistent character, which I think will agian make it easier to pick up for someone who never saw him before.
Hope I suceeded a little
As you see I was going for the neurotic western hero type ;)
let me know if you notice issues (just noticed the belly button is way too high)
btw Hank seems to be a popular name for 3d models right now (
cgtalk)
(Moderator edit - I placed the picture behind a nudity warning - HB)
(Moderator edit 2 - changed the original nudity warning to utilize the new nudity tag - HB)
