If anyone remembers the MGS4 customer story, then you'd know that Softimage has been the main 3D package for the Metal Gear franchise.

Like any pipeline they use a variety of tools, including some Maya, but Softimage is their core 3D package for most of their work.

It'd be nice if people would go back and edit their posts with the vim or youtube tags so the videos would appear on the page.

For vimeo tags, delete everything except the number, select the number and hit the vim button.

Snagged from the list.

"this is all ice, with ice controlled momentum and implosia shattering.
the few fluids lagoa, and the dust is some custom ice clustering and force trickery.
everything rendered by arnold and some additional particular elements after effects spit out on the way . .
