The autumn and winter parts were very very beautiful, his expression and progression, the camera work and the particles and colours. My favorite part of it. Well done! I also loved the ice melting.

Ice Trees, but in a literal sense :p
(rendered with Vray in Maya)

Making Dynamic Trees

Cobbled together from various screen captures during a recent project.
Dynamic tree rig, developed in Softimage ICE, using Syflex, lots of strands, and a whole bunch of custom compounds.
Rendered in Maya using Vray

Softimage | Heart

This is video preview and some viewport capture of a human heart 3d model.
This model for Cinema 4D and MODO is available here:
http://turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index ... al=msurguy
http://turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index ... al=msurguy

Animation was made in Softimage with ICE.
- Highpoly model was deformed by animated lowpoly proxy-mesh.
- Lowpoly cage has 3 blendshapes with fcurve profiles driving weight of corresponding shape in a loop.
- Phase offset for each shape was weight painted to achieve some shift in timing.

Then animation was send to experimental Lagoa-based jiggle system.

- Lagoa particles was emitted from polygonized original heart mesh with proper iso level to cover geometry
- Then Lagoa points was constrained to a offset surface of modified copy of beating lowpoly mesh and simulated
- Highpoly heart geometry was deformed by simulated Lagoa point cloud through smoothed proxy surface

here is a link to a softimage scene file with some mentioned lagoa constraints and defomers (pretty messy though):

Wrapped
After a very successful and long festival stretch our graduation short film "Wrapped" is finally online. It's been a while, but I felt I needed to share it on the list since I've gotten a lot of useful tips and help over the course of the production. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

The whole project was mainly done in Softimage and Arnold and I'm happy we can finally share it.

I must say i didn't like it very much, specially the F-14 proportions don't seem correct. Too thin.
