Becky / Imagine FX

Post by izze » 08 Aug 2010, 17:03

This is a personal project I recently finished. I started working on it once Warren Louw got his illustration on top page at CGTalk. I started with a quick pose from my rigged base model, and finished the rest of the body on Zbrush. I decimated most everything for rendering. I used Kristinka for the hair. I ended up using a point cloud for each clump of hair. Sort of like the poly hair method. Skin is EZ_SSS. There is a turntable on MY WEBSITE if anyone is interested.

Since the hair part is done in kristinka, could you disable one module of ice regarding kristinka and re-build it capturing a video of it?

It wuold be sweet to use those compounds with some kind of visual-guide on vimeo or youtube at high res.

What do you say? is it possible?
Thanks.

Bests.

I will try to put something together. I don't know if it will be video, or PDF.

Here is a quick video on the method I used. I ended up using about 50 point clouds, one for each clump of hair. After using Kristinka further you will find that this method is cumbersome and time consuming. Using Kristinka the way it was designed is much faster and provides the same results.

This is my first capture video. I did not clean it up, so I apologize in advance.

HERE is the video.
