:-! Help with 3d snow shader

Post by kiittea » 14 Jul 2009, 21:52

Hi all,

I am working on a school project. I have a scene where snow falls on the buildings. I tried using the XSI 3d snow shader. But it works fine for the objects like rocks but I am not able to get proper result on the building. I am posting a screen grab of render tree. Could someone tell me, whether the shader is properly connected because the effect I am looking for is similar to the third image. I tried manipulating all the controls in the snow shader, but of no good result :(( :(( .
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
Thanks

Did you already try the 2D Snow Texture Shader?
And could you perhaps post a "RenderTree Compound" of the Render Tree you show above?
That would make recreating your settings slightly easier... ;)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!
