Nuke: Deep Exr vs normal Depth AOV

Post by sant0s » 09 Nov 2016, 20:47

hey compers,

have a question about the depth/deep stuff in Nuke.
Just testing around since we wanna start going into deep exr.

basics are clear, everything is working - just lil' bigger files ;)

but when trying to create depth fog, my depth is inverted, front is foggy, back is not foggy :)
I tried to invert the depth, convert depth to alpha -> invert-> convert back do depth etc. But the result when I just invert the depth from deep exr is messed up.

I attached an image to show what I mean.

So, my question ist: how can I just invert the depth channel that I get from deep exr files?
Is there something like a "rescale" node in Nuke?

Hope the image makes my question more understandable :D

Thx alot,
sant0s
