thx. I'm searching for a node that reads image files from hd. Went through Data Access, but it is not the place for that. Do you have a hint for me ?

as far as I know, only ICE node which reads from disk is 'read cache' ( or some similar name ). Now it depends what you want to do, as usually. You can read texture map too, but texture map should be applied to some polygon mesh or nurbs.

i wanted to apply multiple images each to an own particle and animate them. The goal was to have ICE read the image files in a dir and assign them automatically with some conventions, so to receive the wanted order of using the images in the animation.

You can do this with a mix of setting custom ICE Attributes and then using those attributes to drive the shader which can pick an image out of an img sequence in the render tree. There are many threads and posts about this topic on the mailing list and forums so I'd suggest doing a quick google search for driving particle texture by ICE and you should end up with some decent threads already.

by Byungchul Kang. In some he has put examples so it is much more helpful than manual.

thx for link ! On my side it's mostly in Korean ... tried out dragging the "Google Translation Browser Buttons" link to my toolbar. It says
If you want to translate a whole web page, simply click the button.
, but when i click it, i only get another page with multiple language links and when i click "Korean", it asks me again to drag the url to the toolbar ...
How did you do it ?

Did you opened the nodes? they are bilingual. The parts that aren't just copy paste in google translate.

LK Fabric includes a node for reading images from the harddrive.
You can download the plugin here: http://leonardkoch.com/download/
