Here's my suggestion to the Orcs vs Story battle.
I personally would like a story-based animation but I don't see any problem to mix in some Orcs just for the "this is what SI can do" thing.

For example:
In a short clip in the final story our "Hero" can watch some bad LOTR rip-off on her/his TV.

Anyway, I just want to say that I'm in! (TD, Lighting, Rendering, ICE, Comp, or anything else)

Great to have you in, i think that in the vote we did a while back that a narrative based short won out....again like you said it will defo still be a technical show off as well!
