Re: Digital Tutors release Softimage Lagoa tutorial
Digital Tutors has now even released an apparently more advanced tutorial on ICE & Lagoa,
entitled Professional Series - Particle Integration with ICE and Lagoa in Softimage 2011

The "Professional Series" in the title is (IMHO) a bad idea... I mean other learning course from Digital Tutors are not professional?

I think you're right, but they obviously try to stress the "advanced" nature of this tutorial,
whereas most (...that I know of...) Digital Tutors tutorials tend to be "Introduction" only...
(I'm not saying that's a bad thing BTW) ;)

Re: Digital Tutors release Softimage Lagoa tutorial
well... the professional series have larger sized videos
Looking at the example videos, it looks like the basic series doesn't show much more than the videos already on the AD website.
The professional series seem to be a lot more in depth.
Also, with the new subframe option for ICE in SI 2012, it will probably alter workflow a bit.
But more training for SI is a good thing!

Hi everyone,
To answer your question Nizar, we strive every day to ensure our training is high-quality, dependable and definitely professional.
The Professional Series was created specifically for skilled and experienced artists. All training in this collection are advanced courses that go beyond step-by-step and intermediate training and cover complex topics use a lecture style approach and move at a face pace to efficiently answer the why behind the creation process.
With this in mind, we defined this training as the Professional Series as it is intended for professional artists who already know the what and how behind creating awesome work and are looking for high-level training.
And, if you're interested, you can watch the 'What is Professional Series?' video on our site - http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php#pro_series
Hope this helps!

That is nice to hear - I've always been wanting more in-depth stuff from Digital Tutors. I learned XSI with your Videos, but once you are beyond a certain point you won't learn anything new.
Re: Digital Tutors release Softimage Lagoa tutorial
Hi Papa Georgeo,
my was only a little "marketing" consideration. I understood your point
Nice to see your company read and considering forums (so customers idea)
Can we know what is your future plan for XSI? Any other animation course for XSI like what you doing with Maya and 3Dsm?
Edit: A deep tutorial based on 3delight will be a good idea IMHO

I for one am very glad that Softimage is a substantial part of your training Library which is why I became a subscriber. Please keep them coming and I live learning other software as well.
