I still think Cinema 4D (besides price) looks like a better alternative than Modo. But Modo is starting to get more attention. If they add a robust dynamics system and better animation tools, it could turn to a one man stop really fast.
Or ... you could bundle Modo + Softimage. It would be more expensive than Cinema 4D, but more powerful.
