Re: Autodesk University 2013 online
Well, there was one class tagged with "Maya, Softimage" for which a pdf is available: DG3745 : Dynamic Anatomy for 3D Artists. Getting to the pdf requires login or registration.
And I couldn't mention the lack of love for Softimage at Autodesk University,
or it wouldn't have been "News" anymore...

Re: Autodesk University 2013 online
Did anyone submit a paper or idea for a Softimage AU class?
The way AU works is that people have to submit ideas for various classes. It's open to everyone, not just Autodesk staff.
Of course that doesn't mean that you submission will be excepted, as various factors are taken into account, but particular packages are not singled out for exclusion.
Fyi, I submitted 3 classes for AU 2013, but they were not accepted.

Purely out of curiosity: were any of the classes you proposed (more or less) directly related to Softimage?

Re: Autodesk University 2013 online
There are many different types of classes at AU, ranging from hands-on to lectures and masterclasses. This is all explained if you want to submit something. Very often AU likes to see submissions to be not so product centric, but more centered around industry, workflow, and best practices. Of course it can be likely that a particular product is more used in a certain industry than others. But if someone wnats to submit something specific to an Autodesk product, they can do. Also, AU will provide help and provide suggestions about how to submit and the type of things they look for. If that years conference has a theme or area of focus, they will also highlight topics they would like to see more submissions for.
The three I submitted were really around workflows. Two were focused on Suites, because the data for the end result was software agnostic. The third had alot more Softimage content, but also involved data interop with other packages.
