Now, that is what you call a release.

Re: Unity 5
Hypothetical question...if Unity 6 would add a full modeling system with rigging, etc. would that defeat the purpose of Maya LT? I haven't checked what new features Maya LT has, but it had me wondering...

Re: Unity 5
Ha. I was gonna post this under the Fighting the Depression thread...
I just installed Unity 4 over the weekend. Watched an intro Digital Tutors video on Saturday and exported FBXs (out of Soft)/imported into Unity on Sunday! Got almost my entire Nickelodeon map exported/imported. I still need to separate a bunch of objects and change them so pivot is under model (not 0,0,0) and replace on map. And then figure out Physboxes and textures for them all.
First I'd like to make 1st person game, so you can just walk around. After I get that working, I want to try building an rc car racing game, where you race around the studio... Internal project...
Very impressed with Unity so far (first baby steps).. And now Unity 5 is announced..

Re: Unity 5
Well maybe before they finish fluid Bifrost we can probably do 3d DCC with Unity 9... After all reality and games will merge.

Re: Unity 5
I might just subscribe to Digital Tutors to get my hands on this training...
http://www.digitaltutors.com/learningpa ... t-Pipeline
Maya LT + Unity and the knowledge to create a indie, simple game. I like that. With that in mind, Maya LT is not bad at all.

Re: Unity 5
The training 3DBuzz has for Unity is excellent. I think I'd go for that first.
