Waiting for the Armageddon now because it just doesn't matter anymore.

Not again. :-o ... Not good news at all. Autodesk is turning the VFX industry into a battlefield. It will leave a boring landscape behind.

One funny thing with this , well if there is anything funny at all, it is always unexpected choice. They seems to have unprecedented talent to surprise people, again and again.

The Solid Angle email is still mentioning Softimage/SitoA, the AD press release is skipping this.

So? Tick tock... tick tock....

SItoA EOL soon?

It's all about the phrasing.
Will Autodesk stop selling perpetual licenses of Arnold?
No, Autodesk plans to continue selling perpetual licenses of Arnold.
Will Autodesk continue to develop Katana, Cinema 4D and Houdini plug-ins for Arnold?
Yes, Autodesk intends to continue to expand support for third party products with Arnold. We want to help
improve the rendering capabilities of any production pipeline, and not just for Autodesk products. The Arnold
team will therefore continue to collaborate with third parties (including The Foundry, Maxon and Side
Effects) to better support their products as well as to develop new Arnold plug-ins for other applications.
Like Shotgun, Arnold’s long-term success depends upon our ability to provide customers with solutions that
help improve their overall production capability and capacity. This requires an open approach to their entire
production ecosystem. No matter what DCC products you use – Maya, 3ds Max or Houdini – we want to help
you better manage your rendering overhead!

This beast will never stop eating anything smaller is size, until stomach so full that wont be able to function at all.
I would prefer a massive explosion tho, rather than slow death.

Exactly. :-s

First... kill SItoA, as SI is EOL.
Second, when H is getting more popular, put HtoA development on the backburner.
C4D isn't a threat, so give them crumbs.

MtoA and 3DStoA will be the replacement for MR.

I feel like I might start looking for a career change, just getting fed up with stuff like this. And clients.. LOL!
