I've been seeing a lot of awesome mograph animations from there, and I must say any time I see the software it looks rather straight forward..

Though for the pricetag, I probably won't be jumping onboard..

Hiya!

Tell me about it! I actually *almost* got in on the bottom'ish floor with C4D (v2 or so...1995'ish) when it was being recreated/ported from Amiga. They asked if folks were interested in buying C4D if the made a version for...brace yourself..."BeOS". (BeOS had a lot of things that were way ahead of the curve for OS's, if memory serves). Anyway, I said "Sure! Sign me up!", gave Maxon my CCD number, forked over my roughly $300 Canadian (iirc), and waited. A month or so later they refunded everyone and said..."Naaa. Not doing BeOS. Sorry!". :(

Yes. C4D was only a few hundred bucks. Now? Crazy price if you ask me. I can actually afford it now...but...I don't know if I can pull the trigger. You know, it's the whole principle of the matter. Still...I am a 3D whore and when I see a nice, nubile, sexy, virgin 3D software that tempts me with free discounts and add-ons (like Maxon is doing right now), damn hard to resist! :x

Welcome SEXSI great nick :D

I also think they are a bit too expensive but c4d can do tracking and matchmoving if i am not mistaken. Also there are several flavors.
They are changing the core.
