Apart all the more well known acquirement, there were a number small companies that were purchased that passed under the radar (which you won't find in wikipedia)
and consequently dissapeared or got dissolved in the AD mass.
Grip Entertainment was an other one

Indeed, Softimage people which were moved on-arrival (2008)
Now that was worth it! And how could that not be be fatal.
Even if it happend to be modeately fruitful (actually lasting barely a year or 2?),
sacrificing a very well establised and very long standing platform for the sake of whatever that was ? ..
Sounds alot like project skyline was more or less directly like "Project XSI purge"
