Re: Migration to MAYA - Service Packs

There was an issue with Ext 1 availability and that bundle, they apparently fixed it.
I suspect they might not have fixed the underlying cause, so someone would have to bump them again about the new Ext (which I think would appear in your subscription downloads unlike some of the service packs).

However I think right now it's still too early because it's not been released yet for any license type (as far as I can tell).

thanks for your answer. I thought it was already release, perhaps it's region dependant (?)

thanks Angus,
I think it's ok for the creation suite.
I'm asking mainly for those who are in "maya with softimage" license.

If it's a subscription it shouldn't matter I don't think.

well,

ADSK already decided to not put "Autodesk Maya 2016 Extension 1 + Service Pack 5" in "maya with softimage" account. but it's present in all others.
I would like to know if my problem is the kind of licence related, or it's only me.

thanks,
regards

I have it now on the edu entertainment creation suite, this time it appeared under the "updates" tab (as angus_davidson wrote), nothing under "product enhancements" where it usually appears.

For the maya and softimage bundle license, I will check tonight (~7 hrs from now).

thanks,
i saw that i'm not alone in this case in ADSK forum :
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-gene ... -p/6278264

funny is that they checked the problem solved for just one person.
of course, i didn't have ext2 download in my account 8-|

Just wrote to support, last time they started by telling me "Maya with Softimage" customers are not eligible for receiving Maya extensions, even while on subscription.

So my hopes are not too high about coming out of this without being majorly annoyed again

I'm told this is being worked on, and support does know there is a general Maya+Softimage issue.
I've also read that there is also web site problem that masks Ext2 in Chrome (work around is to clear the "english" filter). IE works fine.

I received Extension 1 okay plus all the SPs. I usually grab them through the Autodesk Application Manager. I haven't checked yet for Extension 2, but from everything I have been reading, it looks like either the 'English' filter problem, as mentioned, or if someone is on 'Maya with Softimage' or the 'Entertainment Creation Suite,' is having an issue. Hopefully it is fixed or gets fixed soon. I also hope that this does not become a re-occurring issue years down the road, where 'Maya with Softimage' Subscriptions get put to the side...being on Maintenance Subscription should get us all the Extensions, as that is what we were told during the migration.
