I am creating a model for 3D printing, I have created it to the exact dimensions. When is subdivide the mesh is shrinks a bit, due to the subd algorthim. To get it back to the proper dimensions I have to just eyeball it...which is a trial and error thing because this model requires a high degree of precision.
Is there a way to re-scale the model back to its exact dimensions?
Thanks,
Ryan
re-scaling after subdivision
Re: re-scaling after subdivision
hi,
well, if you modeled it and the outup was Subd, why don't you modeled it WITH subd to have the exact dimensions ?
In fact i think you need Nurbs modeling for extreme precision...
