Taming Curve Deformation

Post by Frank1000 » 07 Feb 2014, 00:38

Hi,
my intention is to keep a cylindrical panorama object flexible. The image screen in it is aligned by curve deformation. Now when I start changing the arc radius, the image screen starts flipping.

Then another thing is, I need to keep the image screen untied to the curve, so i can transform the model which houses all elements of the object. Because if the image screen is tied to the curve, the image screen acts funny when i move the model that houses the curve and the image screen etc.
Problem is, when i uncheck the "Constrain to deformer", then i can't fit the image screen into place any more ... using the Roll does funny deforming and i wasn't able to position the image screen as needed.

Haven't seen deeper info on these side effects in the manual.
Who knows how to tame this ?
