Motion Trail Tool 1.5Author: taro
With this custom tool you can visualize and edit trails of fcurve animated objects directly in the viewport. Like with all custom tools this must be mapped to a hotkey.

The recent updates includes these features: Fix Bug about neutral pose and pivot Fix Bug about keyboard shortcut Add option "Don't deselect when you click on empty space" Add option "Display only limited frames" Manipulator ( Global Translate only ) Insert Key by Middle Click Remove Key by shortcut Delete Break Tangents by shortcut O Auto Slope by shortcut Shift+A Context Menu by Right Click Fixed Bug ( when parent animate, it was weird ) Slope Size by shortcut PageUp and PageDown Change Custom Preference Faster than v1.2 ( maybe ).

See this thread for a discussion on v1 of this plugin. The author has since created his own thread on si-community (link below) to facilitate the upload of his updates - this new thread is also recommended for new posts.

Hello.
New version of Motion Trail tool.

v1.5
Fix Bug : It was weird when you moved a key on current frame.

v1.4
Fix Bug about neutral pose and pivot
Fix Bug about keyboard shortcut
Add option "Don't deselect when you click on empty space"
Add option "Display only limited frames"

v1.3
Manipulator ( Global Translate only )
Insert Key by Middle Click
Remove Key by shortcut Delete
Break Tangents by shortcut O
Auto Slope by shortcut Shift+A
Context Menu by Right Click
Fixed Bug ( when parent animate, it was weird )
Slope Size by shortcut PageUp and PageDown
Change Custom Preference
Faster than v1.2 ( maybe )

I made a new thread, because it's easy to upload new files, when I version upped it.

the last thread :
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2699

Thank you.

I heard this tool needs Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Redistributable.
If you can't use this tool, try install Visual C++ 2010 [Redistributable].

(Moderator edit: added [Redistributable] to clarify - these guys: x32/x64 - HB)

Thanks Taro. I hope I can test it soon. Small utilities like this improve the usability of a product a lot.

I couldn't get your latest version to work, so thank you for the new version :) This is incredible, there is a choice, go into the graph editor or not, or only sometimes :)

thank you. everyone :)

and let me explain about custom preference.
I explained about it in readme.txt, but I'm not good at English.
So I captured screen.

but it's no problem, if you didn't install v1.2. so, never mind.

this is v1.3's custom preference.
if your custome preference is different with this, you can delete MotionTrail's custome preference, from right click. and activate MotionTrail tool again, new one will appear, and it will be like this.

v1.3 works. And I love this tool, amazing, really is, now if the animators translate tool could be merged with this tool, oh it would be delightful. The flexibility, I love it.

Ritaro introduced my tools in English and Japanese!
It has a lot of images, it is much easier to know how to use my tools than my readme.txt.
And he explains about MotionBuilder's script too. It looks very usuful.

His page is here. Check it up.

Thank you so much, Ritaro :)

Friggin awsome !!
Why didn't we have this before ?
Would it be easy to ease in, ease out presets as a starter for some work ?

Great work will cut down a lot of fiddling .... Thanks

Thank you so much, Ritaro :)
I saw on the page, a tool bar with the animators translator manipulator and motion trails. My suggestion was, to create a new tool with both combined :)

Thank you, Falam :)
I think it can be useful, but I want to make other tool now, if I have time. and I don't have time so much now.
So, I don't think I'll do it, sorry. :( But thank you for your suggestion.

I added source files at first post of this thread, because I got a email and a message about Linux version.
I don't know how to compile on Linux, but if you know, please try. I think my sources have a lot of wrong and waste of codes, because I'm not a programmer. So I recommend not to see sources. Thanks.
