This very fast fluid/cloud rendering shader can read directly from EMfluid volume grids, Maya and Blender Cache files.

Here's a video created by Oliver Weingarten using this shader.

Hey origin, please check the original thread on mailing list.
Seems like a lot of users (if not everyone) have issues with the shader.
Thanks.

I couldnt get it to work, lots of crashes and nothing happened when i used it, i couldnt find any info on how to use this anyway, its really confusing and mixed info grabbed from mailing list.
Must this be used with emFluid only?
Good effort but i still dont understand how is meant to be used and kinda lost interest in trying.

Work only with Emfluid 4, as I think right, just apply new bafluid shader to pointcloud. I try http://www.si-community.com/download/sc ... ine_BA.rar
and scene work with baFluid, but if I try to reconnect volume node SI crashed! All my attempts to apply baFluid shader to Emfluid 4 crashed SI!

Hi!
Do you use the latest version from the mootzoid website? Make sure you are using the latest version of both, ba_fluid and emFluid4!

best,
oliver

ps: i had similar issues until I've sintalled the latest verisons. ;)

oh well, that explains why i had those issue, i dont have emFluid, mine was just a curiosity to test the volumetric shader, thanks for answer, i thought it would work with all particles even standard ICE and not only with emFluid.

@maximus
..the BA_Fluid renders fluidgrid data directly, not particles...it reads data directly from emFluid4. I think you could use the demo version of emFluid to do some tests.

Try Emfluid 4.03 and 4.04 demo and baVolume_v4alpha_0.03 SI 2012 from mailing list, still crash!
Where my mistake? Why work on SteamEngine_BA.scn, but why not in sample scene when connect shader?
