Hey Guys,

Anyone know of one to export this stuff from Softimage by any chance?

Cheers

edit - see next post by AceMastermind:
If you're still using a 32-bits version of Softimage this older plugin might help: link removed...
I got this from this page where there are also some Blender scripts relating to MD5.[/color]
And Blender would have been my next bet anyway also... ;)

According to the ReadMe this plugin seems to be for the Doom 3 editor and not XSI, for converting to/from *.xsi.

Unfortunately Ace is right. This is what I've found before, got excited, then discoverd it is for importing .xsi files into Doom 3 engine ~x(

I'm hoping someone out there has written one that they're prepared to part with. I've tried the blender plugin with blender and it seems to fail with an error. So aside from buying license of MAX it looks like I'm pretty stuck :(

If anyone has any other workflow then I'd be most obliged if you'd let me know.

Thanks a million

I just stumbled upon two very old (2004) standalone converters from Lightwave to MD5Mesh and MD5Anim. It requires a LWO & a LWS file, but that's something you should be able to export from Softimage...
I haven't tested it, obviously, but maybe you could give it a try.
