WIP Toon Character for a short I am making.

Post by talent103 » 26 Jan 2012, 03:52

This is the first time I am posting anything on a short I am making. Here is a render test for the Main Character. I used a soft toon shading look. I used Kristinka 3. for hair. Will have some motion tests later. I had some odd highlights on the hair but overall I am pleased with the look so far. Any comments / suggestions are welcome.

Hmmmm Now that you mention it, It might be a tad big. I will re check the proportions. Thats why its good to get feedback after I have been looking at it for so long. Thanks mod. I was trying to figure out how to embed the video.:) Now I now how.

Here is an update on a personal project i am working on. I am using the Species Rig (saved me a bunch of time) and I am using Kristinka Hair 3.0. I am finally at the end of the tests and will start adding blend shapes for facial expressions. At that point I will start Pre Viz animating the story. Seems like I am finally at the end of my R&D

Is the movement "mocapped" or "keyframed by hand"? :-\

It is mocap. BVH. This was more of a rig and hair test than animation though I think I will be using mostly mobcap from here on. I did not clean it up other than adjusting some motions in Motor.
